A COLORFUL MOUNTAIN VILLAGE: An outdoor skating rink, a bowling alley and tons of funky shops and restaurants make for a very inviting and entertaining atmosphere, and all of it is "ski in / ski out!" The local houses are all brightly colored and very quaint in their architecture.

GOOD SIDE-COUNTRY OPTIONS:  A quick hike up from El Dorado trail to Alder Point accesses a semi-secret run that runs out to the backside chair Powder Gulch

UPCOMING IMPROVEMENTS: Construction has begun on Silverstar's new high speed detachable Doppelmayr Gondola to be completed July 2018. The gondola will replace an aged 2 person chairlift on the front side of the resort.

MULTIPLE SNOWSPORT ACTIVITES:  Silverstar is home to "My1Pass", Canada‚Äôs first all-inclusive lift ticket that offers 7 activities in one ticket including skiing, snowboarding, XC skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, skating, and tubing.

100% NATURAL SNOW: Open for Winter operations from November to April with NO SNOWMAKING. The snow dumps here are frequent enough that no artificial snow needs to be made. Silverstar averages 275 inches (700cms) per season.

NORDIC TRAILS:  Silverstar boasts Canada's largest daily groomed cross-country trail network. Dual mountain passes include SilverStar's 55+ km network and all connecting 50+ km of trails at nearby Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre for $18 per day and they even have Nordic night skiing! Many of the Nordic trails cross the Alpine trails all the way to the summit of the resort.

STEEP AND TIGHT RUNS:  Chutes and gullies galore on Silverstar's backside! These black and double black runs are steep and often narrow with not much room to escape into the trees. With so many to choose from on the backside, you could shred all day and not do the same run twice!

CREATIVE TRAIL NAMES:  With names like Toilet Trail, Gong Show, No Knees, Freefall and Wee Willy, Silverstar will have you chuckling and wanting to grab a souvenir wall hanger of your favorite trail after your visit.
